![]() These Conn trumpet models became very popular and have been so ever since. ![]() The post second world war years saw the emergence of the Connstellation and the New York Symphony Special models. Various models attained cult status in the subsequent years, for instance the Symphony Special and the Connqueror. The 58B Conn trumpet that was a huge success during that time became a classic instrument later and many regard it as a collector’s item today. The number three slide came in to complement the third valve and the main turning slide came in along with the finger hook on the lead pipe. These new models were longer than what used to be made back then. The famous 2B, 5B and other interim models went out and in came the New Era Conn trumpet models. Through the 1930s, Conn trumpet underwent numerous changes and most were innovatively evolutionary at the time. The number two slide that is usually curved towards the player was at a right angle in the earlier designs which started changing circa 1920 and in the following years, the abrupt slide at a right angle was completely done away with from all Conn trumpet designs. The finger hook that is a traditional feature on the lead pipe wasn’t a part of the design of any Conn trumpet through that decade. In the 1920s, the Conn trumpet didn’t have anything similar to what later came to be known as the main turning slide brace. ![]() Back then, not much was recorded and thus not much is known about the designs and features of the Conn trumpet. The earliest Conn trumpet can be traced back to the first decade of the 20th century. From its inception in the late 19th century when the first cornet was rolled out in 1975 to the 1960s when there was a spree of innovation and expansion, the story of Conn trumpet has been a cult that veteran trumpeters have been very well accustomed with. ![]() Conn trumpet is one of the oldest brands in the world. ![]()
